Mrs. Jenkins is an experienced litigator that began her career protecting the citizens of Jacksonville, Florida as a prosecutor with the Fourth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office.  She honed her advocacy skills in a high-stakes environment where she learned the importance of effectively presenting cases to a judge and jury.

Mrs. Jenkins later transitioned to the private sector representing creditors rights and served as lead counsel in law suits filed to recover money owed. She successfully negotiated multiple deals where both parties felt their goals were accomplished.

Throughout her career, Jahlysa is known as a compassionate attorney who believes in doing the right thing. She advocates for individuals and families during some of their most critical times in life.

Jahlysa now brings her skills to Sermons Law, PLLC where she handles Family Law, Estate Planning, Civil Litigation and Probate cases.

Jahlysa is originally from “The Biggest Little City in the World” Reno, Nevada. She graduated from the University of Nevada with a Bachelor of Arts degree, dual majoring in Psychology and Communication Studies. Jahlysa then graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law where she participated in the Moot Court and Mock Trial programs. During her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and daughter traveling the world.
